Medical and Science Editing Services
Science Editing to Suit Your Needs and Budget
Your main goal as a scientific author is to convey your message clearly to your readers. My goal as a
biomedical editor is to provide high-quality medical and science editing services to help you accomplish your
goal.
Think of me as your writing ally. You use your expert knowledge to describe complex information.
I use my editing experience and English-language skills to help you present that information such that your audience
will not misunderstand any part of it.
Flexible Science Editing Services
Four editing services are available. You may combine services or select the tasks you need. You gain access
to expert help, yet enjoy complete flexibility, fast turnaround time, and lower costs.

Improves clarity, coherence, and readability: Improves language style and flow; clarifies meaning;
eliminates wordiness; checks completeness, logic, and organization; may involve condensing or reorganizing.

All services are backed by my
satisfaction guarantee.
I refrain from making unnecessary corrections, preferring to maintain your style and voice whenever
possible. In addition, I make every effort to avoid error.
However, as the author and expert in your field, you are responsible for
the content and final structure of your document.
Turnaround Time
Standard turnaround time varies by project, but manuscripts of up to 9000 words (36 pages) can usually
be returned within 4 to 10 business days. For longer or heavier editing, the turnaround time may increase.
Rush service (return within 3 business days or when evening or weekend work is necessary to meet your deadline) may be available on request.
Services Included at No Extra Charge
When you send your document to me for science or medical editing, the following services will be free of charge:
- Explanations of corrections: I explain the editing corrections directly in
text or in a separate file whenever possible. These notes may help you save time and expense should you require
editing services again. Authors whose first language is not English may find this service especially valuable.
- Review of minor changes: After receiving your edited document and making
your changes, you may want me to check them. There is no charge for reviewing your minor changes. However, if your changes are
extensive, or if you have added a substantial amount of material, a small charge may be applied.
- Answers to questions: You are welcome to ask questions at any
time–even after editing services have been completed to your satisfaction.
Style Guides
Your medical, biological, or social science document can be styled to meet the requirements of many
style guides, including American Medical
Association (AMA), American Psychological Association (APA), Council of Science Editors (CSE), and others.
